Tax Manager

Company Overview

A leading foundation is seeking a Tax Manager to join their accounting and reporting team. The role focuses on managing the full tax cycle with an emphasis on compliance and complex investment areas.

• Manage all aspects of the tax cycle, including annual form 990-PF and 990-T filings for two entities.
• Partner with external tax preparers for successful filing of all federal and state returns.
• Record, track, and analyze investment activity for tax and GAAP reporting.
• Monitor foundation activities for IRS compliance and collaborate on compliance initiatives.
• Manage recurring tax reporting requirements and respond to external requests.
• Monitor and calculate unrelated business taxable income (UBTI).
• Develop and deliver tax compliance training materials and presentations.
• Remain current on US GAAP, IRS regulations, and other regulatory developments.
• Research technical accounting and tax issues and draft accounting memos.
• Support efforts to improve processes and automate manual tasks.

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, tax, finance, or business preferred.
• CPA or CPA license in progress preferred.
• Minimum five years of relevant tax and accounting experience required.
• Experience with private foundations and complex investment portfolios preferred.

Salary: $120,000 – $150,000
