Position Overview

Our Fund Accounting team is a core part of the firm's Finance organization and is responsible for the accounting, financial reporting, and operational oversight of the firm's private credit funds and related investment vehicles.
The Associate will support the day-to‑day accounting and reporting activities for multiple funds while partnering with third-party administrators, investment professionals, and other finance teams. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to identify process improvements in a dynamic, fast‑paced environment. The ideal candidate is intellectually curious, takes ownership of their work, and is looking to develop into a well‑rounded finance professional within alternative asset management.

Responsibilities
  • Support the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process for multiple private credit funds.
  • Prepare and review NAV packages and supporting schedules prepared internally and by third‑party fund administrators.
  • Analyze portfolio activity, including investment purchases and sales, financing transactions, interest income, fund expenses, and partner capital activity.
  • Assist in the preparation and review of quarterly and annual financial statements, including supporting disclosures.
  • Support the annual audit process and coordinate with external auditors and tax advisors.
  • Review capital activity, including subscriptions, redemptions, capital calls, and distributions.
  • Prepare and analyze management fee calculations, expense allocations, carried interest, and other fund‑level allocations.
  • Monitor and reconcile daily cash activity, portfolio positions, and other key fund metrics.
  • Prepare recurring management reporting, liquidity analyses, and investment performance reporting.
  • Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, controls, and reporting efficiencies.
  • Partner with investment, operations, treasury, tax, and other finance teams to resolve accounting and operational matters.
  • Support special projects and strategic initiatives as needed.
Qualification and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance required
  • CPA designation or progress toward CPA preferred.
  • 2–5 years of relevant experience in fund accounting, public accounting, fund administration, or financial services.
  • Experience with private credit, private equity, hedge funds, or alternative investment structures preferred.
  • Strong understanding of partnership accounting and U.S. GAAP.
  • Experience working with or reviewing third‑party fund administrator deliverables is a plus.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact effectively across departments.
