Our client, a respected nonprofit organization, is seeking a Controller to oversee accounting, reporting, budgeting, compliance, and financial operations. This Controller position offers the opportunity to provide leadership within a mission-driven environment.

• Lead all accounting operations, including general ledger management, financial reporting, accounts payable, payroll, and regulatory compliance.
• Oversee the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, audits, cash flow management, and required federal, state, and local filings.
• Manage budgeting, forecasting, reimbursement analysis, and financial planning initiatives while providing strategic financial guidance to leadership.
• Supervise, mentor, and develop accounting staff while driving process improvements, strengthening internal controls, and supporting organizational growth.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 5-7+ years of progressive accounting and finance leadership experience.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting.
• Knowledge of NYS OPWDD financial reporting and compliance requirements is a plus.
