Description

We are seeking a Senior Tax Associate interested in developing expertise in International Tax. In this role, you'll work directly with and report to a Tax Partner who specializes in international tax matters, gaining hands‑on exposure to cross-border compliance, planning, and advisory projects. This unique opportunity offers direct mentorship, specialized technical experience, and a strong growth trajectory within a growing international tax practice.

The Senior Tax Associate is the cornerstone of our client engagement teams. While ensuring client satisfaction and appropriate execution of engagement plans, they are the pivotal point to team members and client work through which most communication must travel. This role works to ensure that information is transferred efficiently and appropriately. The Senior Associate will develop and demonstrate deep knowledge of the technical issues and their application in their chosen discipline(s).

They also help manage engagement economics, bringing potential change orders to the attention of clients, managers, and partners. The Senior Associate is expected to complete all parts of the CPA exam pursuant to earning their professional credentials as a certified public accountant or an enrolled agent. They also help manage the expectations of the Managers, Partners, and clients of the timing of engagement projects and coordinate with team members to adjust for any schedule changes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare tax returns for diverse entity types, including C corporations, S corporations, partnerships, LLCs, trusts, estates, and individuals.
  • Conduct thorough tax research and analysis to ensure compliance with applicable regulations and identify tax‑saving opportunities.
  • Maintain frequent communication with clients to foster long‑term relationships and provide exceptional service
  • Coordinate and oversee work performed by team members to deliver high‑quality service to clients.
  • Ensure adherence to firm procedures, legal requirements, and client specifications.
  • Mentor and develop junior staff to enhance their professional growth and skills.
  • Identify and capitalize on cross‑selling opportunities to enhance client relationships and expand service offerings.
  • Actively participate in internal project teams to support firm‑wide initiatives and objectives.
  • Proactively identify learning gaps and regularly review development plans with management.
  • Attend ongoing training and development programs organized by the firm to enhance skills and stay updated on industry trends.
  • Hold and maintain relevant licenses and memberships to uphold professional standards and legal requirements.
  • Stay informed about financial trends and legislation, continuously improving skills, and meeting minimum CPE requirements.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
  • Bachelors in Accounting or related field
  • Minimum three (3) years of experience in public accounting with focus in taxation
  • Masters degree in taxation or related field preferred
  • Eligibility to be licensed as a CPA or Enrolled Agent required or LLM in Tax
  • CPA certification is preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Adobe, and Accounting software (Such as CCH products; Pro Axcess and FX Engagement)
  • Knowledge of IRS codes and entity tax matters
  • Knowledge of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles)
  • Knowledge of individual, corporation and partnership tax rules
  • Interest in learning and doing international tax work
  • Experience preparing tax returns
  • Experience solving complicated tax issues
  • Solid understanding of advanced accounting issues
  • Strong analytical aptitude and application
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
Compensation & Benefits

This role offers a competitive base salary along with a comprehensive benefits package. Salary ranges for U.S.

-based positions are determined by geographic location and fall into one of three pay zones, which reflect the cost of labor in that area. The anticipated salary ranges for this position are outlined below and are subject to change:

  • US Payzone 1: $92,800 - $116,000
  • US Payzone 2: $84,000 - $105,000
  • US Payzone 3: $76,000 = $95,000
