Tax Accountant

A Professional Services Firm is seeking an experienced professional to join their team as a Tax Senior.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and review federal, state, and local corporate income tax returns, with a strong emphasis on Form 1120 filings.
• Assist with quarterly and annual tax provision calculations and related tax reporting.
• Prepare tax work papers, supporting schedules, and documentation to ensure accurate and timely filings.
• Research and analyze tax issues, applying current tax laws and regulations to client situations.
• Collaborate with internal teams and clients to gather financial information and resolve tax-related matters.
• Assist with tax planning initiatives and identify opportunities to improve tax efficiency.
• Support federal and state tax audits by responding to information requests and preparing supporting documentation.
• Maintain compliance with filing deadlines while managing multiple engagements in a fast-paced environment.
• Stay current on changes in tax legislation and assist with implementing new tax requirements.
• Perform other duties, as needed.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.
• 3–6 years of corporate tax experience.
• Public accounting experience is required.
• Hands-on experience preparing and reviewing Form 1120 corporate income tax returns is required.
• CPA or CPA track preferred.
• Strong knowledge of federal and state corporate income tax regulations.
• Experience with corporate tax compliance, tax research, and tax provisions preferred.
