A nationally recognised public accounting and advisory firm is seeking a Tax Senior Associate to join its expanding Private Client Services team. This is an excellent opportunity to work with high-net-worth individuals, family offices, business owners, and privately held companies, providing strategic tax compliance and advisory services in a collaborative environment.
This hybrid position offers flexibility while encouraging meaningful in-person collaboration with colleagues and clients.
The OpportunityAs a Tax Senior Associate, you'll manage a varied portfolio of private clients, delivering high-quality tax services while supporting managers and partners on complex engagements. You'll build trusted client relationships, contribute to planning strategies, and play an active role in the firm's continued growth.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare and review federal and state tax returns for individuals, corporations, S corporations, partnerships, and trusts.
- Manage assigned client engagements from planning through completion, ensuring deadlines and quality standards are met.
- Prepare quarterly and annual tax projections and assist clients with proactive tax planning strategies.
- Analyse financial statements, balance sheets, and income statements to support tax reporting and advisory services.
- Research complex tax legislation and provide practical solutions to client issues.
- Maintain regular communication with clients, responding promptly to enquiries and providing ongoing support.
- Assist with financial statement compilations and reviews where required.
- Support business development activities, including proposals and client presentations.
- Collaborate with managers, partners, and multidisciplinary teams on advisory projects.
- Contribute to process improvements and help identify opportunities to enhance client service.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
- Master's degree in Taxation or Accounting preferred.
- CPA, Enrolled Agent (EA), or Juris Doctor (JD) qualification preferred.
- At least two years of public accounting experience with a strong emphasis on taxation.
- Experience preparing Forms 1040, 1041, 1065, 1120, and 1120S.
- Strong understanding of tax compliance, planning, and research.
- Experience using professional tax software such as GoSystem, CCH, BNA, RIA, or similar platforms.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office skills.
- Excellent organisational, communication, and project management abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple engagements while maintaining exceptional attention to detail.
- Competitive salary ranging from $95,000 to $130,000
