We are looking for an Accounts Payable Specialist to support day-to-day payment operations for a long-term contract position based in Arcade, New York. This role focuses on accurate invoice handling, expense coding, and timely disbursement processing while helping maintain organized financial records. The ideal candidate brings strong attention to detail, works efficiently with high-volume transactions, and communicates effectively with internal teams and vendors.

Responsibilities:

• Review incoming invoices for accuracy, assign the appropriate accounting codes, and prepare them for processing.
• Manage accounts payable activities by entering payment details, verifying documentation, and maintaining complete records.
• Process ACH payments and assist with scheduled check runs to ensure vendors are paid on time.
• Reconcile payable transactions, investigate discrepancies, and resolve issues with supporting teams or suppliers.
• Monitor outstanding invoices and follow established timelines to keep payment workflows current.
• Maintain organized files and documentation to support audits, reporting needs, and internal controls.
