We are looking for a detail-oriented Payroll Administrator to support payroll and related HR operations for a retail organization in New York. This role is ideal for someone with strong payroll processing experience, advanced Excel capabilities, and a solid understanding of benefits and retirement administration. The successful candidate will help maintain accurate employee pay records, support compliance efforts, and contribute to smooth coordination across payroll, accounting, and HR activities.

Responsibilities:

• Process regular payroll cycles with accuracy and timeliness while maintaining complete and organized payroll records
• Review employee pay data, deductions, tax with holdings, and benefit elections to ensure all payroll information is current and correct
• Use advanced Excel functions to analyze payroll data, prepare reports, reconcile discrepancies, and support audits
• Administer payroll activities within systems such as ADP Workforce Now, Ceridian, or similar platforms used for timekeeping and pay processing
• Support 401(k) and benefits-related payroll tasks, including deductions, updates, and coordination with internal or external partners
• Assist with reporting needs by generating payroll summaries and customized data outputs through tools such as Crystal Reports
• Partner with accounting and human resources teams to resolve payroll issues, validate financial entries, and improve day-to-day processes
• Participate in payroll audits and compliance reviews by verifying records and helping ensure adherence to company policies and applicable regulations
