We are looking for an Accounts Receivable Clerk to support day-to-day receivables operations for a growing organization in Manorville, New York. This Contract position will focus on maintaining accurate customer account records, applying incoming payments, and helping ensure timely collection of outstanding balances. The ideal candidate brings strong attention to detail, sound judgment, and the ability to manage billing and cash activity in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Process customer invoices and maintain accurate accounts receivable records to support timely and complete billing activity.
• Apply incoming payments to the appropriate customer accounts and resolve discrepancies related to cash application transactions.
• Follow up with commercial customers regarding overdue balances and communicate professionally to secure prompt payment.
• Review account activity, investigate open items, and reconcile differences to keep receivable balances accurate.
• Monitor aging reports and prioritize collection efforts based on payment status and account risk.
• Partner with internal teams to address billing questions, clarify payment issues, and support resolution of disputed charges.
• Prepare routine receivables updates and document collection activity to maintain clear account histories.
