Position Overview

Our client is seeking an Interim Senior Tax Analyst – U.S. Tax to provide hands-on support across the organization's U.S. tax function. This individual will work closely with senior tax and finance leadership and will be primarily responsible for supporting U.S. corporate tax compliance, tax provision, and related tax accounting activities.

This is an individual contributor position requiring someone who can independently execute core tax responsibilities while collaborating with internal stakeholders and external tax advisors. The role will initially be engaged on an interim basis with the potential to convert to a permanent opportunity.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the preparation and review of U.S. federal, state, and local corporate income tax returns and related filings.
  • Assist with quarterly and annual income tax provision calculations and reporting under ASC 740.
  • Prepare tax schedules, reconciliations, work papers, and supporting documentation.
  • Support estimated tax payments, extensions, and other recurring federal and state tax requirements.
  • Assist with research and analysis of federal, state, and local tax matters.
  • Support responses to tax notices, information requests, and other inquiries from taxing authorities.
  • Coordinate with external tax advisors on compliance, provision, and other U.S. tax matters.
  • Prepare and review W-8 and W-9 documentation and assist with FATCA-related requirements as needed.
  • Support tax accounting and reporting requirements under U.S. GAAP, with exposure to IFRS reporting as applicable.
  • Assist with tax-related audit requests and provide supporting documentation to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Support tax considerations related to transactions, acquisitions, and other strategic initiatives as needed.
  • Identify opportunities to strengthen tax processes, documentation, and internal controls.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Taxation, or a related field.
  • Approximately 3–6 years of U.S. corporate tax experience.
  • Big 4 or other public accounting experience strongly preferred.
  • Hands-on experience with U.S. federal and state/local corporate income tax compliance.
  • Experience supporting quarterly and/or annual income tax provisions under ASC 740.
  • Strong understanding of U.S. corporate taxation and tax accounting principles.
  • Knowledge of U.S. GAAP; exposure to IFRS is preferred.
  • CPA or Master's degree in Taxation/Accounting preferred.
  • Experience working within financial services, fintech, technology, or another complex corporate environment is a plus.
  • Experience with W-8/W-9 documentation and FATCA requirements is beneficial.
  • Exposure to M&A tax matters, due diligence, or post-acquisition integration is a plus but not required.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a hands-on individual contributor capacity while collaborating across tax, accounting, and finance teams.
Ideal Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will likely be a Senior Tax Associate or Senior Tax Consultant coming from a Big 4 or national public accounting firm, or a Senior Tax Analyst in industry, with a combination of U.S. corporate tax compliance and ASC 740 provision experience.

This opportunity is particularly well suited for someone who has developed a strong technical foundation in public accounting and is interested in gaining broader, hands-on corporate tax experience within an in-house environment.
