Responsibilities
  • Perform bookkeeping functions on a daily, weekly, monthly basis.
  • Maintain vendor records—creating and modifying existing vendors, managing W‑9 and NDA forms process with new vendors, and ad‑hoc communications with vendors.
  • Record vendor invoices in the accounts payable module of Intacct or within  and submit for review.
  • Complete vendor, credit and other applications on behalf of clients.
  • Process Form 1099s annually, where applicable.
  • Record journal entries for cash transfers, payroll, accruals, asset purchases, and capital improvements, as well as specific accounting related to clients’ personal assets.
  • Reconcile bank statements, brokerage statements and credit card statements, including transaction feeds into our accounting systems.
  • Meticulously maintain client files/records in shared network folders.
  • Respond promptly to client requests.
  • Exercise familiarity with financial statements.
  • Provide ad‑hoc analysis and reporting.
Qualifications & Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
  • 2+ years’ accounting experience focusing on A/P, journal entries, bank reconciliations and data entry.
  • Strong proficiency in Excel (including pivot tables and V‑lookups).
  • Preferred experience with Sage Intacct, Quick Books Online, or similar accounting systems.
  • Expeditious and accurate data entry skills.
  • Highly motivated self‑starter and independent worker.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to build relationships within teams.
  • Core self‑management skills: time management, organization, prioritization, resourcefulness, problem‑solving.
  • Detail oriented, intelligent, inquisitive.
  • Exhibits accountability and ownership.
  • Strives for continuous improvement.
  • Family Office experience preferred.
Pay Information

This position is exempt and is paid according to the laws of the State of New York.

The pay range for this position is $76,000–$114,000 USD per year. The range takes into account factors such as experience, skills, education, licensure, and other business needs.

Physical Requirements

Requires the physical capabilities to work in an office environment, including prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Ability to lift up to 15 pounds. Requires onsite work 4 days per week.

U.S. Eligibility Requirements

Must be 18 years of age or older, have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States, and be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident unless a shortage of qualified candidates for a particular skill exists.

Must be willing to execute Corient’s Employee Agreement or Confidentiality and Non‑Disclosure Agreement, which includes post‑employment non‑solicitation, confidentiality, and non‑disclosure obligations.

Corient participates in E‑Verify. Proof of work authorization will be required.
