Sr. Director, Accounting Operations

For our client, we are seeking a Sr. Director Accounting Operations to join the team of a leader in the Business Services space. This role will lead operational priorities where safety, quality, compliance, and execution discipline are central to success. You will collaborate with field leadership, support functions, and cross-functional stakeholders to improve accountability, service delivery, and operational consistency. The position offers the opportunity to influence operational scale, customer outcomes, and organizational performance within a Business Services environment.

Location:

New York, NY - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $247,000 – $271,500 annually

• Develop and implement standardized accounting procedures to support growth
• Ensure seamless migration of accounting data to unified systems
• Oversee onboarding of processing functions post-acquisition
• Manage the end-to-end Accounts Payable process
• Optimize billing and cash application processes
• Ensure accurate and timely payroll processing for diverse employee groups
• Design and maintain a robust internal controls environment

• 10+ years of progressive accounting experience, with 5+ years in a leadership role
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA is highly preferred
• In-depth knowledge of US GAAP and SOX compliance
• Extensive experience with ERP systems and automated procurement platforms
• Proven track record in integrating accounting post-acquisition
• Ability to make sound business decisions through cost-benefit analysis
