How You Will Make an Impact Assist in the preparation and/or review of daily, weekly, and monthly NAV (Net Asset Value) calculations for assigned funds, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant regulations and client agreements
Review and approve journal entries, reconciliations, and other accounting records.
Prepare and review financial statements, investor reports, and other ad-hoc reporting for clients
Act as a primary point of contact for client inquiries and maintain strong client relationships
Collaborate with internal teams, including operations, legal, and compliance, to resolve issues and optimize processes
Participate in the onboarding of new clients and funds, ensuring smooth transitions and accurate setup
Assist in the development and implementation of best practices and process improvements within the fund accounting department
Ensure adherence to internal controls, policies, and procedures
Support audit requests and provide necessary documentation to external auditors
Required Experience Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field3-5 years of experience in fund accounting, with a strong understanding of various investment vehicles (e.g., hedge funds, private equity, mutual funds)
Proven knowledge of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and financial reporting standards
Proficiency in fund accounting software (e.g., Advent Geneva, Sungard Investran, SS&C Hi Portfolio) and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
What Sets You ApartCPA or CFA designation is a plus1+ year of experience in a supervisory or team lead role preferred
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients and internal stakeholders
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously
