My client is looking for a junior accountant with nonprofit experience. Grants experience a plus.
Role could go direct hire or temp to perm.
70K-80K or Per Hour
Requirements- Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business, or related field, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 3 years of nonprofit bookkeeping, accounting, or finance experience.
- Hands‑on experience with accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, invoicing, and journal entries
. - Experience working in a grant‑funded or fund‐accounting environment
. - Intermediate Excel skills (formulas, sorting, filtering, reconciliation worksheets).
- Proficiency with nonprofit A
ccounting Software i.e. Financial Edge, Raiser's Edge, Sage, MIP, Blackbaud
. - Strong organizational and time‑management skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail and ability to meet recurring deadlines.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently, follow through on responsibilities, and raise questions proactively.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
