Our network of 101 food pantries, affordable housing sites, and JCCs provide services directly in neighborhoods across New York City.
The Fiscal Assistant will help support the day-to-day Budget operations for Met Council’s Fiscal Departments.
- Assist with billing funders and compiling necessary backup documentation.
- Produce expense analysis and additional analysis as requested.
- Assist with month and year-end closing.
- Additional responsibilities as required.
- Able to easily adapt to changes and flexibility in schedule
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team
- Comfort using technology and various software
- Maintain the highest level of integrity and discretion with sensitive financial information.

- High School Diploma (Required), Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting (preferred)
- Fiscal/Accounting experience via 1-2 internships
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel (including pivot tables)
- Must have a thorough knowledge of Accounts Payable
- MIP, Timberline, and One-Site experience is a plus
- Strong written and oral communication skills (English)
$25 per hour
