Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Analyze and review general ledger accounts to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards
- Prepare and review various tax returns, including individual, fiduciary, corporate, and partnership filings
- Monitor financial performance against budgets and forecasts, identifying areas for improvement
- Collaborate with partners and managers on ad-hoc assignments and strategic projects
- Conduct tax planning, compliance, and research to ensure adherence to regulations and optimize outcomes
- Supervise and evaluate the work of accountants assigned to your workload
- Utilize accounting software such as Ultra Tax CS and Intuit products to streamline processes
- Provide detailed financial analysis and reporting to support decision-making processes
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting is required; CPA or CPA candidate preferred
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a CPA firm, with a strong understanding of general accounting and tax preparation
- Proficiency in Ultra Tax CS, Checkpoint, Microsoft Office Suite, and Intuit products is preferred
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills to effectively interact with clients and colleagues
- Detail-oriented with excellent multitasking, prioritization, and time management abilities
