Staff Accountant

A sports media company is looking to hire a Staff Accountant

Responsible for assisting the Accounting Department in their efforts to accomplish the Company's goals and objectives by providing accounting support. This includes preparation and recording of various bank activity, month-end reconciliations, recording accounting reclassifications and any other financial, clerical and/or administrative services needed to ensure efficient, timely and accurate reporting

• Manage bank accounts globally including managing users and KYC requirements
• Manage bank remote capture users and check scanners as needed by office
• Manage payroll by person reconciliation including reclassifying bonus, severance and payroll allocations according to budget
• Manage employee benefit coding in accordance with our budget and as it pertains to termed employees' special circumstances
• Actively participates in month-end close processes, managing Accrued Compensation and Accrued Benefit balance sheet reconciliation
• sManaging Audit requests related to compensation GL reconciliation
• Work with bank staff to review all monthly bank reconciliations and providing appropriate detail level review and analysis
• Ensures accurate and timely reporting, and undertakes special projects as requested
• Contribute to a team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
