Manager, Payroll Accounting

• Very financially strong Firm. Excellent Cash to Debt, strong Gross Profit and Net Income. Publicly traded.
• Open to two different backgrounds:
  1) Manager: Must have true Payroll Accounting background. Or
  2) Associate:
  Must have an Accounting background (private or public) and interested in learning Payroll/Comp Accounting.

A premier global organization is seeking a Manager of Payroll Accounting to oversee, refine, and drive the administration of the firm’s international compensation and payroll operations. Reporting within the accounting function, this leader will serve as the primary subject matter authority for multi-jurisdictional payroll execution, general ledger compensation accounting, and internal control frameworks.

The ideal candidate brings deep technical proficiency in multi-currency payroll administration, robust accounting skills, and a track record of process optimization within complex, international operating environments. This role works in close coordination with HR, Finance, external software vendors, and independent auditors to ensure precise financial reporting, regulatory adherence, and operational excellence across global territories.

• Global Payroll Operations: Oversee end-to-end administration of multi-region payroll processing to guarantee full accuracy, strict compliance with regional labor/tax mandates, and timely execution.
• International Provider Oversight: Direct external payroll service bureaus and software partners across key international hubs (including Western Europe, the Middle East, Asia-Pacific, and standard offshore jurisdictions) to manage service levels and system integrations.
• General Ledger & Accounting: Formulate and record all compensation-related journal entries, maintain supporting schedule analyses, and execute month-end account reconciliations in partnership with Corporate Finance.
• Incentive & Equity Administration: Lead the execution and financial recording of complex compensation structures, including annual bonus distributions, off-cycle adjustments, and long-term incentive programs.
• Financial Planning & Analysis Support: Build detailed variance analyses, operational budgets, and rolling forecasts for total reward expenditures and global head-count costs.
• Audit & Compliance Management: Serve as the primary operational contact for internal and external audit procedures; ensure robust documentation, internal controls, and strict compliance with global, national, and local statutory payroll standards.
• System Optimization & Project Leadership: Identify process bottlenecks, drive continuous improvement initiatives, and champion system enhancements or migrations for the global payroll and compensation technology stack.
• Stakeholder Support & Ad-Hoc Initiatives: Act as an escalation point for complex employee pay inquiries and partner with HR leadership on specialized organizational projects.
