NETworks is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Senior Accountant to support the day-to-day accounting operations of a touring Broadway theatrical production company that is growing. Reporting to the Senior Director of Accounting, this role will contribute to maintaining the general ledger, executing month-end close, and show-level accounting across our portfolio of productions. This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional looking to grow in a dynamic, multi-entity entertainment environment working within a Net Suite ERP system.
RESPONSIBILITIES:- Support the monthly close process by preparing journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules for the corporate and show-level entities.
- Prepare financial reports, variance analyses, accruals, and supporting schedules for show-level and corporate performance reporting.
- Maintain the general ledger with accuracy and attention to detail, including data entry and recordkeeping within Net Suite.
- Reconcile bank accounts and balance sheet accounts on a monthly basis, flagging and resolving discrepancies.
- Support external auditors and tax advisors by preparing audit schedules, gathering documentation, and responding to information requests.
- Contribute to ongoing process improvements within the finance function, including Net Suite optimization and the transition away from legacy manual workflows.
- Collaborate with senior finance team members and cross-functional stakeholders to ensure accurate, timely financial information.
- 5+ years of accounting experience, ideally in a multi-entity, project-based, or entertainment/live events environment
- Solid understanding of general accounting principles (GAAP), month-end close procedures, journal entries, and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with Net Suite or a comparable ERP system strongly preferred.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities, meet deadlines, and maintain accuracy in a fast-paced environment.
- Collaborative team player with a proactive mindset, eagerness to learn, and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; comfortable working with senior finance leaders and external partners.
- Genuine interest in the theater or live entertainment industry and a desire to understand show and corporate economics.
- Commitment to primarily on-site work in our New York City office (near 53rd & Broadway), 4-5 days per week (typically Monday-Thursday in office, with Friday flexible), as well as maintaining the flexibility to support seasonal finance demands during audit, budgeting, and other critical deadlines.
$80,000 - $90,000 per year, commensurate with experience. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) with employer match, and paid time off.
