Director of SEC Reporting & Technical Accounting Job New York New York USA,Accounting

We are working with the CFO of a publicly-traded Tech company based in New York City. They are looking for a dynamic Director of SEC Reporting & technical Accounting to join their organization and lead the financial reporting function. RESPONSIBILITIES:

Own end-to-end consolidated financial reporting and SEC reporting processes and be accountable for the quality, accuracy and timely completion of reporting deliverables.
Lead the Financial Reporting team responsible for the day-to-day preparation of consolidated financial statements, footnotes, MD&A and other SEC reporting deliverables
Lead accounting analysis for new and complex transactions, including debt and equity financings, convertible instruments, acquisitions, investments, leases, etc.
Own oversight of equity compensation accounting and financial reporting, including unusual awards, modifications, ASC 718 matters, share-count and EPS considerations.
Partner with Controller and SOX team to maintain appropriate internal controls over areas within the Director's responsibility and support remediation of identified deficiencies.

REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor Degree in Accounting or Finance
CPA
10+ years of Financial Reporting experience including a Public Accounting foundation
5+ years of Leadership
SEC Reporting, Technical Accounting and Consolidations experience
Exposure to Revenue Recognition, Debt & Equity Financing, and Equity Compensation

COMPENSATION:

$200,000 - $225,000 + 20% bonus + equity
