Senior Fund Accountant

A leading global financial services firm at the heart of the investment industry is seeking a Senior Specialist, Private Equity Fund Accounting to join their Private Equity accounting team in New York, NY (hybrid, 4 days/week in office).

You'll play a key role in delivering accounting services for complex private equity fund clients, while mentoring junior team members and helping shape best practices across the group.

What You'll Do

• Perform accounting services for assigned clients and moderately complex funds — including NAV calculations, fund performance, expense allocations, and reporting
• Drive service improvement initiatives, process efficiencies, and specialist-level reviews
• Guide and review cash and asset reconciliations for complex accounts, resolving atypical transaction issues
• Draft and review client-facing reports on fund performance
• Serve as a key point of contact for clients on fund reporting and accounting matters
• Help evaluate GAAP/IFRS updates and their impact on fund accounting practices
• Mentor and review the work of junior team members

What You Bring

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or equivalent experience
• 5–7 years of relevant fund/private equity accounting experience
• Strong technical accounting knowledge (GAAP/IFRS)
• Experience reviewing the work of others and providing technical guidance
• Comfortable working directly with clients on complex accounting matters
