Accounts Payable Accountant

Responsibilities

Kforce's client, a respected nonprofit organization, is seeking a Part-Time Accounts Payable Accountant to support its finance team. This position is responsible for full-cycle accounts payable processing, including invoices, vendor payments, expense reimbursements, reconciliations, and financial reporting.

• Process invoices, purchase orders, and vendor payments
• Review and process employee expense reimbursements
• Perform account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies
• Maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation
• Respond to vendor inquiries and resolve payment issues
• Prepare AP analyses and monthly reports
• Support accounting system users and AP process improvements
• Collaborate with finance staff and operational teams

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
• 3-5 years of full-cycle Accounts Payable experience
• 2+ years of general accounting experience
• Strong bank reconciliation experience
• Proficiency with accounting systems and Microsoft Excel
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Nonprofit and fund accounting experience preferred
• Financial Edge experience is a plus

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
