You can design a career you’ll love from top to bottom - we give you the tools you need to succeed and the autonomy to reach your goals.
Eisner Amper is seeking a Tax Director to join our Real Estate Tax practice with a primary focus on privately held real estate owners, developers, operators, family offices, and closely held real estate businesses. This role is designed for a trusted advisor who enjoys partnering directly with entrepreneurs and ownership groups on tax planning, structuring, transactions, and long-term business strategy.
Experience serving owner-operated real estate companies is strongly preferred over backgrounds primarily focused on public REITs, institutional real estate private equity funds, or investment management structures.
- You will get to be part of one of the largest and fastest growing accounting and advisory firms in the industry.
- You will have the flexibility to manage your days in support of our commitment to work/life balance.
- You will join a culture that has received multiple top "Places to Work" awards.
- We believe that great work is accomplished when cultures, ideas and experiences come together to create innovative solutions.
- We understand that embracing our differences is what unites us as a team and strengthens our foundation.
- Showing up authentically is how we, both as professionals and a Firm, find inspiration to do our best work.
- Serve as a trusted tax advisor to privately held real estate owners, developers, operators, family offices, and closely held real estate businesses.
- Lead complex tax engagements involving partnership taxation, entity structuring, acquisitions, dispositions, refinancing transactions, and tax planning strategies.
- Partner directly with business owners and executive leadership teams to identify tax savings opportunities and provide strategic guidance.
- Review and oversee tax compliance and consulting engagements to ensure technical excellence and timely delivery.
- Mentor, develop, and manage tax professionals within the Real Estate Tax practice.
- Collaborate with Partners on business development initiatives, proposal presentations, and expansion of existing client relationships.
- Build and maintain relationships with attorneys, lenders, wealth advisors, and other professionals serving the closely held real estate market.
- Identify opportunities to provide additional advisory and tax planning services to existing clients.
- Serve as a technical resource for engagement teams on partnership taxation and real estate-related tax matters.
- Stay current on developments impacting real estate owners, operators, developers, and family-owned real estate businesses.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or equivalent field is required.
- 10+ years of progressive tax experience providing tax compliance and consulting services.
- 8+ years of tax compliance, specialization in complex technical individual and business returns.
- Recent Public Accounting experience.
- CPA or IRS Enrolled Agent Certification required.
Qualifications:
- Master’s Degree in Taxation or relevant field.
- Experience using GoSystems or CCH Axcess tax software.
- Experience acquiring new clients and growing a book of business.
