Fiduciary Accounting Manager

Job Summary

We are currently seeking a Trust & Estate Tax Manager to join our team in our Jericho, NY office location. This role offers an exciting opportunity to be part of a dynamic and growing firm.

• Researching, complying, planning and administering fiduciary income tax returns, estate & gift tax returns
• Directing tax seniors and staff accountants; ensuring assignments are completed within the budgeted time
• Interacting with clients to discuss tax issues throughout the year
• Developing technical knowledge through participation in organization meetings, training programs, attending industry events and research activities

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting required
• Minimum of 7+ years of progressive tax preparation, review and supervisory experience; previous experience in public accounting preferred
• CPA or EA license required
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, initiative, and leadership skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Proficient with computer software packages and platforms including Microsoft Office Suite, Tax software, Pro Systems Engagement and CCH Axcess
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment
• Ability to work additional hours as needed
• Ability to work in a team environment, supervise staff and lead projects
• Maintains a high level of professionalism and consistently demonstrates respect for others
