We are seeking an Intern in our New York City office who will gain exposure to all facets of Greystone’s Accounting department.

* Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

*** Assist with the preparation of monthly financial reporting packages, including maintaining support schedules and assisting with account-level review.
* Support the accounting team with account reconciliations, roll-forwards, journal entry preparation and support, and investigation of reconciling items.
* Compile financial and operational data using Excel and other financial reporting systems and assist with developing schedules used by the team and management.
* Work with other areas of the department, including Treasury and Accounts Payable, and support payment processing as needed.
* Assist with maintaining accounting documentation, procedures, and support for the Company’s internal control environment.
* Participate in ad hoc accounting and analyses based on departmental needs.
* Identify opportunities to improve or automate recurring accounting processes, reports, and reconciliations as appropriate
** Experience, Skills, and Abilities

Required:

*** Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting.
* Strong general accounting knowledge.
* Must have a strong work ethic.
* Must have strong organizational and time management skills.
* Ability to work independently and with a team with an emphasis on accuracy and timeliness.
* Must be detail-oriented, with strong problem-solving skills.
* Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
* Ability to interact with employees and vendors in a professional manner.
* Proficient in Excel Interns hired in NYC for summer 2027 will be compensated at $29/ hour.
