Payroll Supervisor

Kintec Search is partnering with an established construction business in Nassau County to recruit a Payroll Supervisor.

This is an opportunity for a detail-oriented payroll professional with union payroll experience to take responsibility for field payroll and work directly with finance leadership.

You will join a business with a growing workload and established payroll systems, where accuracy, reliability and ownership are valued.

• Manage the weekly payroll process for approximately 350 field employees.
• Check payroll information for accuracy, including union and prevailing wage requirements.
• Import, export and reconcile payroll data, investigating discrepancies before processing.
• Process and validate payroll within Sage 100 before exporting to Paychex for finalization.
• Liaise with field teams and accounting colleagues to resolve payroll queries.
• Maintain accurate payroll records and support associated reporting.

This is a hands-on position with no direct reports. The workflow uses established systems and data imports, with a strong emphasis on checking accuracy.

• Previous experience processing union payroll, ideally within construction or a related environment.
• Understanding of prevailing wage requirements.
• Excellent attention to detail and the ability to meet payroll deadlines.
• Confidence checking data, identifying discrepancies and following issues through to resolution.
• A dependable, organized approach and clear communication skills.
• Sage 100 and Paychex experience would be advantageous.

• Base salary of $80,000–$95,000, depending on experience.
