MIH Systems Group is a growing company in the HVAC services field, and we work to make buildings work better. We specialize in optimizing complex HVAC systems in buildings. Our diverse team delivers value to our clients from the design stages of new construction through the operation of existing buildings. Our HVAC service team provides start-up services for complex HVAC equipment from a wide range of manufacturers, as well as ongoing preventive maintenance, break/fix repair, and equipment retrofit services.

Our Ambient team includes experienced professionals who focus on cost-effective solutions for our clients.

Role:
Accounts Receivable Specialist

• Prepare and send invoices to clients promptly, ensuring accuracy and compliance with contractual terms.
• Apply customer payments accurately and timely.
• Monitor and follow up on outstanding accounts receivable, contacting clients as necessary to ensure timely payments.
• Reconcile accounts receivable ledger to ensure all payments are accounted for and properly posted.
• Investigate and resolve any discrepancies or issues related to client billing and payments.
• Prepare regular reports on account status, aging analysis, and collections efforts for management review.
• Maintain strong relationships with clients, addressing any inquiries or concerns regarding their accounts.
• Ensure adherence to company policies and financial regulations, updating procedures as necessary to maintain compliance.
• Work with customers on sales tax eligibility and ensure state sales tax is applied correctly on invoices.
• Assist with internal and external audits by providing necessary financial documentation.
• Other job duties and special projects as assigned.

• 5+ years of accounting related experience
• 5+ years in the HVAC service environment (preferred)
• Working knowledge of Business Central Systems (preferred)
• General knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
• Excellent Microsoft Suites skills (Excel, Outlook, Word, etc)

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field (preferred)
• Detail-oriented and accurate data entry skills
• Organized, self-motivated team player
• Clear oral and written communication skills
• Ability to keep confidentiality and maintain high level of integrity

Estimated Salary: $38/hr - $43/hr, with flexibility based on experience and skills.
