Job Details

We are seeking a Staff Accountant to join our thriving Accounting and Finance team. This is an excellent opportunity to apply your skills, knowledge, and experience in a challenging and rewarding role. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of our financial operations, including month-end closing, journal entries, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger management. The role also involves reconciling accounts to ensure their accuracy.

The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, exceptional problem-solving skills, and a passion for finance.

Responsibilities

Manage all aspects of day-to-day bookkeeping and accounting processes including but not limited to: AP, AR, journal entries, and bank reconciliations.

Conduct month-end and year-end close process in a timely and accurate manner.

Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial reports.

Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.

Ensure compliance with GAAP principles.

Liaise with our Tax Accountant, Auditor, and other external parties as necessary.

Reconcile all balance sheet accounts; reviewing for input accuracy and prepare monthly reports and journal entries, as needed.

Maintain and update accounting records and files.

Analyze budgets and create expense reports.

Examine tax policies and handle tax payments and returns.

Meet financial accounting objectives.

Contribute to the development and review of annual operating budgets and performance projections.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, especially in MS Excel.

Strong mathematical and analytical skills.

Attention to detail and ability to spot numerical errors.

Excellent organizational skills, ability to prioritize, and comfortable working independently.

Exceptional ability to communicate and report critical financial matters to management.

Familiarity with financial accounting statements and experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process.

Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to think critically.
