Salary/year, The Accounting Manager will be responsible for general ledger management, supervising three other accounting positions, ensuring monthly accounting cycle closing, and actively participating in the annual audit, budget and review of federal and state filings. He or she will be very detail-oriented, a great communicator and have a strong sense of responsibility, self-motivation, and great organizational abilities. He or she values excellence within his or her work, and will maintain the integrity of accounting/financial records and files.

The Accounting Manager reports to the CFO/CAO. Primary Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Oversees accounts payables function and journal entries Responsible for investment entries Responsible for GL accounts and review of bank account reconciliations Maintenance of accounts receivable Ensures proper and timely month-end closings Reviews accounting data, identifies and corrects errors in accounting transactions Applies accounting principles and ensures adherence to GAAP Supervises accounts payable and revenue accountant positions Plays a major role in annual audit preparation Assist with preparation of 1099, 990 and State Filings, and Form 5500 Prepares internal monthly financial reports Assist in the budget process and review as needed 941 quarterly reconciliations Performs other duties as assigned by the CFO

Qualifications:

CPA preferred. Bachelor's Degree in accounting with at least 5 years of progressive accounting experience, including managing a team. Experience in nonprofit accounting required. Thorough knowledge of accounting theory, concepts, and practices applicable to accounting requirements for nonprofits. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Ability to work cooperatively with staff members and vendors Strong analytical skills for monitoring accounting records and solving accounting problems.

Excellent judgment and ability to handle confidential information with care and discretion Highly organized and ability to multi-task. Experience in Blackbaud Financial Edge accounting system a plus. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications Demonstrated belief in Posse's mission and values.
