Fund Accountant

The team is targeting someone with approximately 6–8 years of experience. Experience with Asset Backed Finance (ABF) products would be ideal. This is an immediate replacement need. The team is intentionally looking for someone who can provide strong mid-level fund accounting support for the duration of the fund’s wind-down.

• Track complex asset-backed transactions, securitizations, asset-based lending (ABL), and structured finance products.
• Compute accurate Net Asset Value (NAV) for open-ended or closed-ended credit funds holding illiquid or structured assets.
• Perform cash, position, and collateral reconciliations with prime brokers, custodians, and administrative agents.
• Prepare financial statements, partner capital statements, and regulatory or investor reporting packages.
• Coordinate with external auditors and tax preparers during year-end financial audits.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Master’s or CPA is frequently preferred).
• Experience:
  
  6-8+ years of relevant fund accounting experience, typically coming from public accounting (Big 4/tier-one audit firm serving financial services) or another alternative asset manager.
• Strong Excel proficiency, understanding of US GAAP, and familiarity with credit, debt, or asset-backed instruments.
