Senior Staff Accountant BRIEF DESCRIPTIONThe Senior Staff Accountant is responsible for performing a broad range of accounting functions that support accurate financial reporting and effective business operations. This role requires strong prioritization, reconciliation, research, and analytical skills, along with in-depth knowledge of IFRS accounting principles and advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency. Key responsibilities include managing complex intercompany transactions, preparing and posting journal entries, and supporting month-end, quarter-end, and annual financial close processes.

Senior Staff Accountant
Pay: $105,000
Responsibilities- Complete timely and accurate monthly reconciliations of general ledger accounts.
- Manage intercompany consignment agreements and related accounting activities.
- Prepare and post journal entries, including accruals, prepaids, reclassifications, depreciation, amortization, and other recurring and non-recurring entries.
- Identify, research, and resolve discrepancies, unusual trends, and potential control issues.
- Compile and prepare information requested by external and internal auditors and tax accountants.
- Provide guidance and support to promote understanding of IFRS accounting requirements.
- Perform and support month-end, quarter-end, and annual financial close activities.
- Ensure the accuracy and integrity of data within general ledger accounts.
- Ensure accounting activities comply with Company procedures and internal control requirements.
- Represent the Accounting department in cross-functional projects, as needed.
- Maintain assigned process documentation and support continuous improvements to accounting procedures.
- Perform other duties as required.
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field, CPA preferred.
- 4+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a corporate or multinational environment.
- Strong knowledge of IFRS accounting principles.
- Experience with accounting software, Business Central and Quickbooks Online.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Products, primarily strong excel knowledge.
