Accounting & Operations Manager

Summary

The Accounting & Operations Manager oversees day-to-day financial operations and supports organizational effectiveness across finance, compliance, governance, and operations. The role focuses primarily on accounting, budgeting, financial reporting, grant compliance, audit coordination, and internal controls.

• Process accounts payable, cash receipts, expense allocations, journal entries, and monthly reconciliations.
• Support month-end and year-end close, budgeting, forecasting, financial dashboards, and management and board reporting.
• Maintain grant records, monitor compliance and reporting deadlines, support reimbursement requests, and coordinate audit documentation.
• Manage vendor, contract, procurement, and organizational records and support operational processes and improvements.
• Coordinate committee and board meeting logistics, prepare materials, record minutes, and maintain governance records.

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
• At least three years of relevant nonprofit finance, accounting, operations, or administrative experience.
• Strong organization, project management, communication, and prioritization skills.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
• Experience with grants, audits, boards or committees, financial systems, or process improvement is preferred.
