A full-service commercial bank headquartered in New York, specializing in serving professional service firms, law professionals, and small to mid-sized businesses. The bank is seeking a Merchant Services Accountant to support its growing merchant services platform, which constitutes a significant portion of its revenue.
Job Responsibilities:- Preparation and maintenance of daily and monthly clearance and settlement activities for Merchant Services payment processing.
- Daily reconciliation of wire & ACH transactions to processors and In Process or suspense accounts.
- Process manual ACH payments and record accounting journal entries for daily and monthly activities.
- Record Mastercard (weekly) and Visa (monthly) invoices.
- Reconciliation & review chargebacks during month-end close.
- Assist in month-end close process and operational initiatives.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting with a minimum 3.2 GPA.
- Payment processing background preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Salary: $65,000 - $70,000
