Tax Manager

Join part of the BDO alliance with the largest minority-controlled accounting firm, just down the road from Wall Street. They are seeking a licenced CPA, Tax Manager, with strong corporate and individual tax experience as well as clear leadership ability.

This role offers the opportunity to work with sophisticated clients across federal, state and local taxation, combining technical tax expertise with client advisory, team development and an understanding of broader business objectives.

• Provide tax guidance and planning across a diverse client base
• Work with corporate tax, pass-through entities and S-Corporations
• Support clients including nonprofits, employee benefit plans and high-net-worth individuals
• Work on complex tax matters involving Private Equity and Real Estate
• Address federal, state and local tax issues
• Build strong client relationships and develop an understanding of client businesses
• Review and guide the work of staff and junior tax professionals
• Stay current on tax legislation, technical developments and industry trends
• Contribute to improving processes and approaches to tax service delivery

• CPA required
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Taxation
• 5+ years of tax experience within public accounting
• Strong federal, state and local tax experience
• Corporate and pass-through taxation experience
• Private Equity and/or Real Estate experience
• Strong project management and organizational skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication
• A stable, consistent employment history
