Location: New York, NY 10012 (Greenwich Village)

Compensation: $25-$30.00 per hour

Schedule: Monday – Friday | 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM (100% Onsite)

Role Overview

We are seeking a highly organized and resourceful Faculty Support & Operations Coordinator to join a prestigious academic institute in the heart of Greenwich Village. In this critical role, you will serve as the primary liaison for the Department Chair
, managing high-level administrative operations and academic program logistics. This is a "white-glove" service role requiring a professional who can navigate university policies while providing elite support to senior faculty and leadership.

Key Responsibilities
  • Chair & Faculty Liaison: Act as the primary point of contact for the Department Chair, managing complex calendars and interacting with senior University personnel to resolve operational issues.
  • Academic Operations: Coordinate a wide range of clerical and secretarial duties, including highly confidential tasks.
  • Communications: Compose and customize high-level correspondence, letters, and reports on your own initiative or in response to Chair requests.
  • Financial & Data Support: Modify and maintain databases and spreadsheets; oversee expense tracking and general office budget support.
  • Liaison Duties: Interface with the general public and university stakeholders as a NYU liaison, ensuring all inquiries are handled with comprehensive knowledge of Institute policies.
Required

Skills & Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Experience: 2–4 years of experience within a Higher Education or Academic setting.
  • Technical Proficiency: Strong working knowledge of Google Workspace Docs, Sheets, Drive) and Workday (highly preferred).
  • Communication: Exceptional written and interpersonal skills; ability to communicate effectively with high-level executives and faculty.
  • Reliability: Must be comfortable and committed to a 100% onsite schedule in Lower Manhattan.
