Studio MBM is a New York City design firm seeking a highly organized, proactive, and detail-oriented Office Manager to oversee daily operations, administrative functions, and public relations coordination. This role is essential to maintaining the efficiency, professionalism, and culture of our growing studio.
The ideal candidate thrives in a creative environment, is resourceful, and can balance administrative precision with polished external communication.
Key Responsibilities Office Operations & General Management- Oversee day-to-day office operations to ensure a smooth and productive work environment
- Manage office supplies, vendors, subscriptions, and service contracts
- Coordinate IT support, equipment maintenance, and workspace organization
- Maintain studio calendar including internal meetings and key deadlines
- Assist leadership with operational planning and implementation of office procedures
- Support onboarding and offboarding of employees
- Track expenses and assist with budget oversight
- Assist with administration including PTO tracking and employee records
- Coordinate travel arrangements and expense reports
- Assist with studio marketing and PR initiatives
- Coordinate press inquiries and communication with media outlets
- Maintain and update website content and project portfolios
- Manage social media presence in collaboration with leadership
- Support proposal submissions and award applications
- 3+ years experience in office management, administration, or studio management (architecture/design industry preferred)
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience with invoicing and basic financial coordination
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office / Google Workspace
- Familiarity with design studio workflows is a plus
