Market Specialist will prepare daily logs and complete general traffic duties for assigned stations.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare and maintain on-air logs through careful management of commercial inventory.
- Assign episode numbers, time program segments, verify program house numbers.
- Placement of spots on daily log within restriction set on sales order, separation, inventory codes, best positioning.
- Maximize revenue and inventory, ensuring all spots with dollars have priority.
- Utilize innovative problem solving and decision‑making skills to achieve station goals.
- Assist Station Management to ensure all regulatory issues are met.
- Assist in the implementation of Traffic Operation Center Best Practices and SOPs.
- Experience: One or more years of experience in a centralized TV Traffic Department.
- Technical
Skills:
1+ years Wide Orbit experience;
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite;
Strong data entry skills with high accuracy. - Soft Skills: Ability to quickly learn new systems and processes;
Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize, multitask, and meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment;
Strong problem‑solving skills and adaptability to work in an open environment with ongoing distractions;
High attention to detail and commitment to maintaining work quality and accuracy;
Excellent written and verbal communication skills. - Education: Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience preferred.
Hiring Salary Range: $50,000.00 – $55,000.00. The hiring salary range for this position applies to New York, California, Colorado, Washington state, and most other geographies. Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job‑related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education. The benefits available for this position include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, tuition assistance program and PTO or, if applicable, as otherwise dictated by the appropriate Collective Bargaining Agreement.
