Tax Administrative Manager – Tax Client Workflow & Delivery (Hybrid, New York) – This role leads the administrative function for the Tax Client Workflow & Delivery team, driving process improvement, team productivity, and service excellence.
Work You Will be Responsible For:- Oversee overall administrative team success and productivity.
- Strategically manage tax administrative processes across departments, refining procedures for consistency and operational alignment.
- Approve and manage overtime and PTO requests for team members, ensuring compliance with local regulations.
- Guarantee deadline compliance for assigned administrative functions and projects.
- Partner with senior leadership on process optimization initiatives to enhance efficiency and streamline workflows.
- Develop and implement standard operating procedures for tax administrative processes.
- Serve as senior liaison between the tax administrative department and executive leadership, providing performance updates and critical tax deadlines.
- Lead development and implementation of advanced administrative systems and processes.
- Stay current with emerging technologies to maximize team productivity.
- Oversee training and development programs for administrative colleagues.
- Collaborate with firm leaders on performance or employee relations issues.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field.
- 5+ years of administrative experience, including supervisory responsibilities, preferably within professional services.
Qualifications:
- Advanced proficiency in administrative technologies and tax return workflow systems such as XCM and client portals.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Adobe Suite.
- Proven ability to lead and manage an administrative team with effective delegation and workload distribution.
- Experience managing hybrid administrative teams.
- Ability to handle multiple cross‑functional projects in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills for cross‑team collaboration.
- Strong problem‑solving and critical‑thinking skills.
- Capacity to handle sensitive client data discreetly and professionally.
- Strong leadership and motivating skills.
- Analytical and strategic planning abilities.
This position is primarily office‑based and requires the ability to sit for extended periods while using a computer and telephone. Occasional standing, walking, bending, and lifting of up to 20 pounds may be required. Visual acuity and manual dexterity are essential.
