This role is ideal for an individual with an interest in or experience with data management, non‑profit management, human resources administration, or business management, who also possesses a strong customer service orientation and excellent communication skills. You will support Volunteer Center operations by reviewing, gathering, and entering volunteer time data within the department’s time‑management system, Volgistics, and by ensuring consistency and accuracy across all program data platforms.
PrincipalDuties and Responsibilities
- Audit timekeeping records.
- Verify attendance and hours served, and follow up with volunteers to correct any discrepancies.
- Reconcile/synchronize timekeeping information across all platforms.
- Update volunteer assignments.
- Produce reports of various data points from multiple platforms and provide analysis as needed.
- Assist with processing new volunteers.
- Communicate with volunteers.
- Support the administrative needs of the department.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel is required.
- Strong written and oral communication skills, including clear diction.
- The ability to follow instructions, take initiative, and apply critical thinking.
- Prior experience where customer service skills were used is preferred.
- Prior experience in an administrative capacity with data analysis and review is preferred.
- Knowledge of mathematical reasoning and analytical skills to avoid errors during work, required.
- Experience managing a project independently to completion, required.
- Ability to work independently and with little guidance, required.
- Ability to exhibit excellence in the execution of responsibilities, required.
The ideal candidate is available during business hours 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. Flexibility within these hours is acceptable, and office presence of at least 4 hours per day is requested. This is an in‑person opportunity.
