About the Position
This full-time apprenticeship supports Juilliard Summer Programs, delivering an exceptional experience to students, faculty, and staff. The role ensures high-level excellence in planning, logistics, and cross-departmental coordination across Admissions, Financial Aid, Facilities, Communications & Marketing, Web, Programming, Event Operations, Student Life, Health & Wellness, Human Resources, and more.
The apprenticeship reports to the Assistant Director of Summer Programs and offers exposure to all institutional functions.
Salary: $18.50 per hour or a contracted amount of $29,600 for the school year. The schedule follows standard office hours with occasional flexibility for events.
Key Outcomes- Understand how Juilliard designs and delivers educational programming through collaboration across academic, artistic, and operational departments.
- Gain hands‑on experience in program planning, event coordination, and administrative support.
- Build transferable skills in communication, project management, and cross‑functional teamwork while contributing to the student, faculty, and guest artist experience.
- Provide administrative and logistical support for planning and execution of Juilliard Summer programs.
- Coordinate with artistic and administrative leadership across the School to ensure clear communication and efficient workflows.
- Support scheduling, participant communications, enrollment workflows, and onboarding for students, faculty, staff, and guest artists.
- Collaborate with program staff to maintain and distribute core program materials.
- Manage external communications, drafting correspondence, and responding to inquiries.
- Create and maintain internal documentation such as meeting notes, how‑to guides, and workflow records.
- Support systems for data tracking, program evaluation, and continuous improvement.
- Bachelor’s Degree or related professional experience and transferable skills.
- Background in music performance, education, or artistic administration.
- Strong organizational and event planning skills; educational setting experience a plus.
- Passion for youth arts education and meaningful experiences for this age group.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Meticulous attention to detail and proactive, solutions‑oriented mindset.
- Quick to learn and adapt to new systems, software, and workflows.
- Preferred:
Experience in summer programs, arts festivals, or camps.
