Location: New York

Our client is seeking a proactive, organized Office Manager to oversee day‑to‑day operations of a community‑focused events space in Brooklyn. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys being the steady, on‑site presence in an independent, mission‑driven environment. The position blends office operations, facilities management, light finance, and event support, and requires someone comfortable working autonomously with minimal oversight. Hours are 10:00am-6:00pm, fully onsite five days per week, with occasional evening or weekend event coverage (schedule flexed accordingly).

Key Responsibilities:

Serve as the primary on‑site point of contact for daily operations of the space Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming environment for therapists, visitors, and community members Manage office supplies, shared resources, and general upkeep of common areas Oversee vendor relationships (cleaning, maintenance, etc.) and coordinate repairs as needed Liaise with building management for facilities issues (HVAC, plumbing, access, safety, etc.)

Support therapists and space users with scheduling, access, and day‑to‑day logistics Manage bill pay processes, including tracking invoices, expenses, and payments Maintain organized records for vendors, expenses, and operational procedures Coordinate logistics for events including room setup, supplies, and basic hospitality Provide on‑site support for approximately two evening/weekend events per month Maintain and update digital content such as website information and space activity Build simple systems and workflows to improve operational efficiency

Qualifications:

3-5+ years of office management, facilities, or operations experience Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail Ability to work independently and manage priorities without heavy oversight Professional, warm, and approachable demeanor Strong written and verbal communication skills Comfortable interacting with a wide range of stakeholders (therapists, visitors, vendors) High level of discretion and sensitivity in a confidential, client‑facing environment Proactive mindset with strong ownership and follow‑through Bachelors degree preferred

Compensation/Benefits:
