Responsible for coordinating all aspects of billing for assigned attorneys and clients including interfacing with attorneys, reviewing, editing and processing prebills, monitoring rates, preparing final invoices, maintaining records on client requests and providing reports.

Duties and Responsibilities Primary- Review, edit and process prebills; prepare final invoices for transmittal to clients.
- Review and monitor rates.
- Review and update daily, monthly, and quarterly reports; perform reconciliations and adjustments.
- Respond to client inquiries.
- Maintain bill profiles on client billing requirements, maintain filing systems according to firm policies and procedures.
- Maintain and disseminate information on special client time reporting and billing requirements; assist assigned attorneys with miscellaneous billing matters.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- May be performed in a remote environment in commuting distance to V&E's Dallas office for occasional visits.
- May be subject to time pressures and constraints and is often dependent on input from others.
- Occasional overtime may be required.
- High School diploma required; college degree preferred, including courses in Accounting and/or Finance.
- Two-year billing experience, preferably in a law firm or other large professional services organization.
- Aderant experience, or comparable accounting software; MS Office including Word and Excel; 10-key calculator.
- Competent on the keyboard. Proficient in using Microsoft Office Outlook and Word, with working knowledge of Excel.
- Resolve problems in a timely manner; gather and analyze information skillfully. Provide excellent customer service and be able to plan and prioritize work effectively. Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills, and the ability to adapt well to change.
- Able to maintain confidential information.
The full time base annual salary for this position in the New York market is expected to range between $80,190 - $132,313. Please note that the actual compensation may vary from posting based on geographic location, work experience, education and/or skill level. The posted salary is the range Vinson & Elkins in good faith believes to be the possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting.
This range is only applicable for jobs to be performed in New York and may be modified in the future.
