Position SummaryYoung Minds Daycare Center is seeking a highly organized and dependable Administrative Assistant to provide daily administrative and operational support to the program. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication, organizational, and multitasking skills and demonstrate professionalism in a fast-paced childcare environment.
Responsibilities- Type and prepare accurate reports and correspondence in a timely manner
- Provide general office and administrative support to program staff and leadership
- Assist in maintaining and posting notices, schedules, and program information
- Manage assigned projects in an organized and timely manner
- Assist with ordering office supplies and equipment
- Deliver reports and documentation to designated agencies or departments
- Assist parents/guardians with applications and information regarding Young Minds programs
- Assist in preparing for meetings, staff development trainings, and site visits
- Maintain up-to-date student emergency card information
- Maintain and update staff calling tree information
- Assist with student enrollment and registration processes
- Assist with entering employee information into the PETS database
- Maintain confidentiality of student, family, and employee records
- Report to work consistently and on time and follow procedures for leave requests
- High School Diploma or equivalent required;
Associate’s degree preferred - Previous administrative or office experience preferred, ideally in a childcare or educational setting
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general office equipment
- Strong organizational, communication, and multitasking skills
- Ability to work collaboratively and maintain professionalism at all times
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism
- Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
- Must be in good physical and mental health
- Fingerprinting and a background check are required
- SCR clearance required
- Associate Degree and 3 years office experience, OR 30 college credits and 1 year office experience
- High School Diploma with 2 years of experience
- Must be computer literate, especially in Word, Excel, Publisher and Presentation
- Highly motivated and enthusiastic individual with good English language written and oral skills
- Excellent customer relations required. Must be organized and reliable and be able to work independently. Must be able to keep and protect confidential information
- Compensation $20.00/ hr
