Legal/Compliance Administrative Coordinator – Higher Education

Pay $30–$40/hr duration 2 months.

Hybrid: 3 days onsite (T, W, Th) and 2 days remote (M,

F). Location NYNY 10011.

We are seeking a proactive and detail‑oriented Administrative Coordinator to provide mission‑critical support for a team leading the university’s accreditation, authorization, and academic assessment portfolio. This role provides analytical, communications, and operational support to the unit, and will liaise with academic departments and other units across the university. Key Responsibilities
  • Research and Analysis:
    Provide excellent analysis to unit leadership on academic compliance issues; undertake ad hoc research to support projects and initiatives; create basic data reports or visualizations to support projects and initiatives; support preparation of materials to accreditors and other academic authorizing bodies.
  • Program Operations:
    Maintain, develop, and refine unit file management systems and report submission systems; support leadership in preparing materials for meetings and presentations.
  • Communications:
    Update unit web content; manage newsletter content and other mass mailings to internal stakeholders; create audience-appropriate reports or presentations and/or refine report and presentation design in support of leadership.
  • Event Planning:
    Lead logistics for unit events, including vendor/catering coordination, invitation management, material design (RSVPs), and hands‑on event setup/breakdown.
What’s Needed?
  • Experience:

    Previous administrative experience within Higher Education or with legal, regulatory, or compliance areas is highly preferred.
  • Technical Savvy:
    Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Suite, project management tools (e.g. Asana), and basic web CMS tools.
  • Soft Skills:

    Exceptional written and oral communication; the ability to project a professional image to faculty and administrators.
  • Organization: A strategic thinker who can prioritize multi‑tasking research and analysis alongside daily office operations; experience planning and organizing events.
