Job Summary
A professional, fast-paced organization in Grand Island, NY is seeking a Medical Billing Administrative Assistant for a temp-to-hire opportunity supporting the medical bill review process. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented administrative professional with medical billing experience, Workers' Compensation knowledge, and familiarity with No-Fault billing requirements.
The Medical Billing Administrative Assistant will help ensure accurate intake, organization, review, and documentation of medical bills while supporting compliance with New York State Workers' Compensation and No-Fault regulations. Key Responsibilities
- Support the Bill Review Department with daily administrative tasks related to medical billing, claim documentation, and bill review workflow.
- Review claim files and supporting documentation to help confirm billed services are accurate and complete.
- Track, monitor, and prioritize bill review inventory, claim status, referrals, and completed work.
- Process incoming and outgoing emails, letters, faxes, invoices, and other documentation according to client guidelines.
- Communicate professionally with adjusters, coders, internal teams, and external partners to resolve billing or documentation issues.
- Assist leadership with special projects, cross-department coordination, and changing departmental priorities.
Compensation and Benefits
- Pay: $20 to $21 per hour.
- Employment Type:
Temp-to-Hire.
- Schedule:
Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.
- Location:
Grand Island, NY.
- Work Arrangement:
Hybrid after training.
- Training: 3 to 6 months fully onsite.
- Hybrid Schedule After Training: 1 to 2 days per week onsite, rotating.
- Benefits Upon Conversion: 3 percent matching 401(k) with company contribution.
- Benefits Upon Conversion: 10 PTO days plus 5 NYS sick days.
