Location: New York
Pay range: $50,000 USD to $55,000 USD. The estimated range is the budgeted amount for this position. Final offers are based on various factors, including skill set, experience, location, qualifications and other job‑related reasons.

General Responsibilities:
Catholic Guardian Services is seeking a Background Check Specialist to support our Unaccompanied Minors Program. This role is perfect for someone who is detail-oriented, organized, and committed to accuracy. You’ll be responsible for coordinating and documenting background check requests, ensuring all submissions are complete, compliant, and processed on time. Join our team and help us create a safe and supportive environment for the children we serve.
Required Skills:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- A minimum of 3 years of employment experience
, preferably in administrative support, HR, compliance, or a related field. - Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel
, Word
, and Smartsheets
. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Desired
Skills:
- Experience in background screening, HR compliance, or investigative roles.
- Familiarity with data privacy regulations and handling sensitive information.
- Bilingual in Spanish a plus.
