Position: Administrative Assistant (Temporary)
Location: North Great River

Looking for a stable, long‑term opportunity to build your career within a New York State office? We are seeking a dependable and detail‑oriented Administrative Assistant for a 1–2 year contract position with potential for extension. In this position, you will be the backbone of day‑to‑day office operations, managing calendars, processing documentation, and handling public and internal inquiries with a high level of professionalism.

To qualify, candidates should bring 1–2 years of prior administrative or clerical experience, excellent organizational skills, and a proficiency in Microsoft Office applications. Because this role supports a critical state workflow, we are moving on an accelerated hiring timeline. Virtual interviews will be conducted this Tuesday and Wednesday via Zoom/Teams, with a firm start date of Monday, June 29th. Responsibilities
  • Office Coordination: Answer, screen, and route incoming phone calls; greet visitors and direct them to appropriate staff or program areas.
  • Calendar & Scheduling: Manage calendars, schedule appointments, coordinate staff meetings, and arrange virtual or in‑person conference logistics.
  • Document Management: Draft, edit, and proofread correspondence, memos, and reports using standard office software (Microsoft Office Suite / Google Workspace).
  • Data & Records: Maintain, update, and organize physical and electronic filing systems, ensuring accuracy and data integrity in agency databases.
  • Mail & Operations: Handle incoming and outgoing mail, faxes, and deliveries; monitor and order office supplies as needed.
