Fall 2026 Development Undergraduate Internship | Brennan Center for Justice
The Tone:This is an internship at Brennan Center for Justice, located in New York, NY. The Brennan Center for Justice is a nonpartisan law and policy institute dedicated to improving the systems of democracy and justice in the United States. It works to hold political institutions and laws accountable to the twin American ideals of democracy and equal justice for all, engaging in rigorous research, policy crafting, and advocacy.
This role provides administrative and clerical support vital to the Center’s fundraising efforts.

In-person, New York, NY - Pay: $18.40 per hour
- Team:
Development staff, providing support to individual giving and foundations teams. - Mission:
This person supports the Brennan Center’s fundraising efforts by assisting the Development staff with essential administrative and clerical duties. - Tech Stack:
Windows, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word
- Administrative Support:
Assist with administrative duties that support the Center’s comprehensive fundraising efforts. - Prospect Research:
Conduct research on potential donors to inform fundraising strategies. - Donor Relations:
Help with donor correspondence and maintain accurate records in the fundraising database. - Event Coordination:
Provide support for the organization of fundraising events and preparation of donor mailings. - General Office Support:
Execute general administrative, research, and clerical tasks for the entire Brennan Center.
- Background:
Undergraduate student for Fall 2026 with a passion for issues of democracy and justice. - Experience:
No specific years of experience are required; however, proficiency with Windows, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Word is essential. - Skills:
Excellent research, writing, and analytical abilities; highly organized, punctual, and detail-oriented; energetic and an independent self-starter. - Bonus:
Prior experience with database systems is considered very helpful; applicant must also be open to evolving responsibilities.
