Job DescriptionThe New York County District Attorney's Office (DANY) has an opening for a Unit Coordinator in its Community Partnerships Unit. In this position, the Unit Coordinator is responsible for providing administrative support to the unit and office.
Responsibilities- Perform various receptionist, clerical, and secretarial duties.
- Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries from DANY staff and the community.
- Assist the unit Executive Director and Deputy Director to ensure efficient management of unit operations, including staff schedules, inventory of event materials.
- Maintain and update the unit's database systems.
- Assist unit leadership in developing and analyzing unit-wide metrics and performance measurement.
- Assist unit leadership in data collection and preparation of weekly and quarterly reports for the District Attorney and Executive Leadership.
- Assist in the coordination of internal and community events.
- Perform related tasks as assigned.
Minimum Qualification Requirements: all candidates must possess the following:
- Level 1 – Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college and one (1) year of relevant experience.
- Level 2 – Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college and two (2) years of relevant experience.
- Ability to carry and move boxes and incoming mail to assist with storing and organizing materials/inventory for office giveaways, donation drives, and more.
- Spanish-speaking is preferred.
- American Sign Language a plus.
- Knowledge of the criminal justice system a plus.
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills required.
- Ability to perform all assignments in an accurate, professional and expeditious manner.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to work with frequent interruptions and adapt to changes in workflow.
- Ability to interact with all levels of staff.
- Dependable team player who works collaboratively and cooperatively with staff in a team-oriented environment.

- Current office employees:
To be eligible for a transfer or promotion, staff must have already served at least one year in their current unit/bureau/department and be in good standing. Must meet the minimum qualifications of the position. - Looking for candidates that could commit to two (2) years to the hiring Unit.
- Authorization to work in the United States is required.
- High school graduation or equivalent and three years of experience in community work or community centered activities in an area related to duties described above; or
- Education and/or experience which is equivalent to "1" above.

- Monday – Friday, from 9 am – 5 pm.
- Ability to work overtime and flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
