Duties Description Assigned to the Allegany Regional Administrative Headquarters in Salamanca NY, the incumbent will provide clerical work and office support to the Regional Business Office (RBO) to meet the requirements of agency programs. This position will report to the Administrative Specialist 1, SG-18 within the Regional Business Office. Duties include, but are not limited to:
General Office Support
Serve as a point of contact for staff and the public, responding to inquiries and directing requests appropriately.
Provide shared office coverage, including mail handling, copying, supply coordination, and reception support as needed.
Support day-to day office operations by coordinating basic administrative tasks and assisting staff as assigned.
Records and Data Management
Create, maintain, and update paper and electronic records in accordance with agency procedures.
Perform data entry and basic recordkeeping using standard office software.
Safeguard the confidentiality and integrity of personnel, payroll, and financial information.
Payroll and Personnel Support
Assist with clerical functions related to payroll and personnel processing, including data entry, tracking, and documentation.
Maintain records related to seasonal and permanent employees.
Distribute information related to employee appointments, benefits, and compliance requirements.
Financial and Administrative Support
Assist with clerical processing of invoices, purchasing documentation, and revenue or attendance records.
Maintain logs, spreadsheets, and other tracking tools as assigned.
Other Duties
Perform related duties as assigned to support Regional Business Office operations.

Qualifications:
A subsequent 55-b/c appointment may be considered if you have at least one year of permanent or contingent-permanent qualifying service and have a current Civil Service 55-b/c letter of eligibility.
Reassignment
Qualifications:
Current NYS Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation Employees only, with at least one year of permanent or contingent-permanent qualifying service as an Office Assistant 2; if you have less than one year, you must be reachable on the current Office Assistant 2 eligible list for this location, if one exists.
52.7 Non-Competitive Promotion (NCP)
Qualifications:
To be eligible for NCP, candidates must be in the NYS Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation promotion field and have at least one year of permanent or contingent-permanent qualifying service as an Office Assistant
1). If there are three (3) or fewer qualified NYS Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation eligible promotional employees respond to this posting, Civil Service may approve the permanent appointment of one of the qualified employees without further examination.
